박지윤은 대한민국 1982년도 서울에서 태어났다. 2녀중 막내로 평범한 가정에서 태어나 학교를 다니다 주변분의 소개로 광고모델 오디션을 보게된다. 1993년, 11살 하이틴 잡지모델로 데뷔, 다양한 광고모델로 활동하고, 청소년 드라마 sbs공룡선생으로 연기자활동을 시작한다. 1996년 Taewon 영화사와 계약 후 연기자로 활동 범위를 넓히려던 중, 우연한 자리에서 한 프로듀서가 그녀의 노래를 듣고 가수데뷔 제안을 한다. 그녀는 어릴적 부터 노래하는 것을 좋아해 합창단과 성가대에서 꾸준히 노래를 불러왔고 예술고등학교를 준비하며 성악을 해왔었다. 그러한 계기로 1997년, 그녀는 '하늘색 꿈'으로 가수데뷔를 하게 된다. 1998년 2집 steal away, 1999년 3집 가버려, mbc 씨트콤 남자셋,여자셋,sbs Ghost 출연하며 연기자 활동 또한 이어간다.

2000년도에는 새로운 프로듀서 JYP를 만나면서 성인식이란 음악으로 섹시하고 도발적인 이미지로 새롭게 변신한다. 2001년 5집,2002년 6집으로 JYP와 마치면서 잠정적으로 가수 활동을 쉬게된다. 그 후 그녀는 혼자의 시간을 보내며 사진을 배우고 음악을 배우면서 자신만의 색깔을 찾아가게 된다. 2007년 비밀정원이라는 포토에세이를 출간하고 몇 개의 전시회를 통해 그녀는 자신을 표현해 간다.

6년만인 2009년 '꽃 다시 첫번째'로 7집을 발매한다. parkjiyoon creative 회사를 설립, 그녀가 작곡,작사한 곡들과 그녀의 사진들로 장식한 7집앨범은 그녀의 성숙한 내면을 고스란히 담아내어 그 전과는 많이 달라진 음악으로 자신의 색깔표현을 분명히 하였다.

Jiyoon Raelle Park was born in 1982 in Seoul, Korea. After her family was introduced to an entertainment industry insider who noticed the artistic potential in her, Jiyoon started to audition for several modelling roles. In 1993, at the age of 11, Jiyoon debuted as a model and graced the cover of HighTeen Magazine. From there on, her career as both a commercial and print advertising model garnered momentum and she began to receive offers to work in television. In the same year, Jiyoon landed a role in an SBS drama series for teens. In 1996, after signing with Taewon Movie Productions, a music producer heard Jiyoon singing and suggested to her that she should become a singer. Jiyoon loved singing and music since she was very young - always singing and performing in front of her family and in the church choir. To prepare for the entry into an art-gifted high school, Jiyoon continued to attend singing lessons and grabbed at the opportunity to begin her career as a singer.

In 1997, Jiyoon debuted as a singer with her album, "Ha-Neul Saek Kkum", or "Sky Dreams" In 1998, she released her second album, "Steal Away", which was followed by her third album in 1999. Jiyoon continued with her acting career and in 1999, landed a role in the highly popular MBC sitcom, "Nam Ja Saet, Yeo Ja Saet", or "Three Men and Three Ladies" and as well as the SBS drama series, "Ghost". In 1999, Jiyoon caught the eye of mega-producer, JYP, and released her album, "Sung In Shik". The album is considered a breakthrough in Korean pop culture and set the stage for Jiyoon's musical direction. Jiyoon shed her girl next door image and evolved into a sexy pop sensation. Her popularity as an artist continued to rise, establishing fan bases all over Asia. In 2001, Jiyoon released her 5th album with JYP, which was followed by her 6th album with JYP in 2002.

After her 6th album, Jiyoon took a step back and decided to travel the world and find herself again as an artist. Always with a keen interest for art and photography, Jiyoon began an intensive self-study into photography and in 2007, released "Bi Mil Jung Won", or "Secret Garden", a collection of photography and poetry. In conjunction with the release of her photo essays, Jiyoon held a photography exhibition of her "Secret Garden" photography collection in Seoul, Korea.

After 6 years of her break from the music scene, Jiyoon released her 7th album in 2009, "Kkot, Da-shi Chut Bon Jjae", or "Flower, Again for the First Time", a more softer and acoustic-driven album. In the same year, Park Ji Yoon Creative was established, allowing Jiyoon to take creative control over her musical and artistic productions. With the establishment of her own company, Jiyoon has found more passion in writing and producing music, as well as delving deeper into photography and poetry. Her commitment to art has only been magnified by the search of finding herself as a true artist.
